Suva in danger of missing Digicel Fiji FACT.

On the stage of domestic football, Suva is about to make unwelcome history.

For the first time ever, the team might not get to participate in the Digicel Fiji FACT.

It occurs after the team lost to Lautoka 2-4 in the Digicel Fiji Premier League this afternoon, dropping them to the bottom of the standings.

This happened as Nasinu defeated Navua 3-1 and Tailevu Naitasiri defeated Nadroga 2-0.

After eight games, Suva has five points under new coach Shabneel Prasad, the Whites’ fourth coach of the year.

As the last games of the first round take place the next week, Tailevu Naitasiri now has seven points.

Labasa will be included in the FACT along with seven other clubs.

In the upcoming match, Suva takes on Nadi and needs to win, while Tailevu Naitasiri faces Lautoka and merely needs to draw, as long as Suva doesn’t win by a significant margin to guarantee FACT qualification.

Nasinu, who is set to play Nadroga, will be hoping that everything goes well for them and that Tailevu Naitasiri and Suva lose.

Meanwhile, Suva’s off-field troubles continue to unsettle the team, as they once again failed to secure the crucial victory.

Lautoka managed goals from a Sitiveni Cavuilagi brace, alongside strikes from Sakaraia Naisua and Muni Shivam Naidu.

Suva scored through Merrill Nand and Dave Radrigai.

In Nausori, goals from Mosese Nabose and Samuel Navasa helped Tailevu Naitasiri to victory.
